  • Fernandes did not know anything about the airline industry before he enters. 
  • He does not care about the uncertainty risks to enter the airline industry right after the 911 terror attacks. 
  • Risk is scary but it gives Fernandes an opportunity to develop his talents, interests, abilities and dreams. 
  • He was willing to take risks to meet the challenge and finally he turned AirAsia into a profitable airline in two years.

  • Tony Fernandes develop foresight. that is, he succeed to beat his competitor by provide first budget no-frills airline, AirAsia.
  • He foresees the potential obstacles and tries his effort to overcome the problem.

  • He can avoid the problem become a big issue in his organization because he always take an action before something bad happen.

  • He take the high risks and optimistic in achieving his dream. 
  • He introduce “Low Cost Airline” 
  • He created a "first" in Asia by starting a hotel chain, TuneHotels which is based on the no-frills concept
  • He lobbying pushed Dr Mahathir to raise the idea with the leaders of neighbouring Thailand, Indonesia, and Singapore and eventually successful get the landing rights to AirAsia and other discount carriers
  • Visionary let him become sensitive toward what is happen in the business environment, so they will take the quick action dell with the opportunity or treat exist.
