- Tony Fernandes develop foresight. that is, he succeed to beat his competitor by provide first budget no-frills airline, AirAsia.

- He created a "first" in Asia by starting a hotel chain, TuneHotels which is based on the no-frills concept
- He lobbying pushed Dr Mahathir to raise the idea with the leaders of neighbouring Thailand, Indonesia, and Singapore and eventually successful get the landing rights to AirAsia and other discount carriers
