• Died on 23 October 2007 (aged 89)
• One of the richest person in Malayisa
• When he wanted to build a hilltop resort in Gunung Ulu Kali (Genting Highland), many people laugh him and said that the was risky.
•  However, Tan Sri Dato Seri Lim Goh Tong was financially comfortable to invest this idea with an enormous amount of money and started to brush of these negative comments.
•  After he getting approvals from the Federal and State governments, he started to face some problems about building the access road towards the hilltop, water and electricity supplies, sewerage system and fire safety.
• But, he still do not want to give up and still managed to build the access road towards the entrance of the resort in three years only when it was estimated to take 15 years.
• Although he spent all his money without any income during the construction progress of Genting Highland, but he still wanted to continue his plan’
• Now, Genting Highland become one of the primary and famous tourist attraction in Malaysia.
